What is Netophtiole plus used for ?

Indicated in the case of inflammatory conditions of the anterior segment of the eye, either post-operative or not, in the presence of or at risk of bacterial ocular infection.

What is Netophtiole plus daily dose ?

Instill a drop of ophthalmic solution in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3 times a day or as prescribed by a doctor.

Is it safe to use Netophtiole plus in pediatric populations ?

The safety and efficacy of Netophtiole plus in children and adolescents under 18 years of age has not yet been established. There are no data available. In pediatric patients, the product should only be administered after a careful risk-benefit assessment and under strict medical supervision.

What are the contra-indications for the use of Netophtiole plus ?

Netophtiole plus is contra-indicated in the following conditions -intraocular hypertension (glaucoma), -herpetic keratitis or other ocular infections caused by herpes simplex, -viral diseases of the cornea and of the conjunctiva, -ocular fungal diseases, -mycobacterial ocular infections.

What are the possible Netilmicin Interactions with other medicinal products ?

No significant drug interactions have been reported with the use of netilmicin in ophthalmic solution. The simultaneous administration of other potentially nephrotoxic and ototoxic antibiotics (also topical, especially if intracavitary) may increase the risk of such effects.

Can Netophtiole plus be used during pregnancy and lactation ?

There are no clinical data on the safe use of Netophtiole plus in pregnant women. Animal studies have shown teratogenic activity of dexamethasone. It is preferable to avoid the use of Netophtiole plus during pregnancy. There is no sufficient information on the excretion of dexamethasone, netilmicin or their metabolites into breast milk after ocular administration. The risk for newborns/infants cannot be excluded. Netophtiole plus should not be used during the lactation
