Prof.Mohamed covered a lot of important points on Vitamin D in terms of its production, metabolism, different forms and the causes and consequences of it’s deficiency.
He stressed on the high prevalence of Vitamin D Deficiency in Egypt not only among the elderly but also the young population. He concluded with the superiority of Alfacalcidol versus plain Vitamin D and it’s importance in different disease areas besides the bone, muscle and kidneys.
